1925 Austin Seven Tourer

1925 Austin Seven Tourer

Ref: SEF-A014

When introduced in 1922 the Austin Seven was the first civilised motor car of really small size. It was an immediate success. Small cars in the veteran period were single or two cylinder affairs. The nearest thing in the Edwardian days had been the Bebe Peugeot 856cc which did not survive into the post war period. The Austin Seven had a four cylinder, water cooled engine 747.5cc three speed gearbox, and 4 wheel brakes. Overall length 8ft 10in. Overall width 3ft 10in. 70 castings.
